The UW-Extension Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program is now accepting students who do not have previous U.S. education and/or live outside of the U.S. At this time, UW Flexible Option does not support student visas. In addition to the below guidelines, please also review the BSBA program admission guidelines prior to submitting an application.
Students who have no prior U.S. education are required to show evidence of completing one of the following language proficiency exams:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for admissions.
Students who have completed post-secondary academic work at foreign institutions are eligible for transfer credit equivalents, if the institution is accredited by the appropriate accrediting bodies in that country and are regulated by the country’s Department of Education or equivalent unit.
As part of the application process, transcripts for students with credits earned at foreign institutions are evaluated by a foreign credential service (Educational Credential Evaluators [ECE] or World Education Services [WES]) to determine U.S. credit equivalents for academic work completed outside of the U.S.
All transcripts from either U.S. institutions or foreign institutions must be provided to UW Flexible Option during the admissions process to be considered for admittance. For more information on admission guidelines and how to apply, visit the Business Administration Program Admission web page.
