Students will learn about the role of the human resource management within organizations. Upon completing this project, students will understand how human resource management broadly contributes to organizational strategy, the difference between strategic and transactional human resource management, and how the human resource management function provides support to other business areas. Students will also learn basic skills in the human resource management functional areas of job analysis, recruitment, selection, training, development, compensation, employee relations, employment/labor law, ethics, and performance management.
