As competency-based education gains favor with educators and adult learners, many fields of study not typically associated with the approach are embracing it.
So says U.S. News & World Report in its November 24 article that features the University of Wisconsin Flexible Option Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Imaging program.
The article, titled “Competency-Based Online Programs Address Needs in New Industries,” looks at a handful of online programs that are bringing competency-based learning to a variety of disciplines from health care to specialized engineering fields.
