A. Term Deferral
Submit the Term Change Form by the 25th day of the month (e.g. submit by November 25th for December subscription period enrollment.
- If opting for a break, contact your Success Coach to discuss deferral duration potential impacts.
- For breaks longer than a month and if received financial aid, promptly contact contact UW Flexible Option Financial Aid Office, as there may be potential financial obligations to the University.
B. Term Withdrawals
Review the withdrawal policy as you’re accountable for enrollment changes. Term withdrawal requires dropping ALL of your courses. Before taking action, consult with our Success Coach. If the drop deadline has passed, discuss alternative options your Success Coach. Changes may also affect your federal financial aid and impact disbursements. Contact the UW Flexible Option Financial Aid Office for questions on the impact on your financial aid.

C. Canceling Admissions
Newly admitted students may cancel their admission using the Application Cancellation Form
- Applications to programs are valid for up to 1 year after submission.
- If it has been a year or more since your last enrollment, you will need to reapply for admission.
